DLRT Plant Capabilities

We have a wide variety of processing capabilities, all in a single location. Dexine Leyland Rubber Technology Plant Capabilities are outlined in the listing below:

Compound Mixing

  • 170ltr compound mixing line with computer controls producing wig wag sheet
  • Mixing line can also produce strip of 100mm width or wider
  • Small granulator producing 8mm cubed product, guaranteed free from metal
  • Unlike fluid based shock absorbers or foam
  • Manual weighing of ingredients
  • Automatic blending/ weighing of volume runs for consistency of product

Calendering

  • 3 bowl calender line producing unreinforced rubber and/or coated fabric up to 1650mm width
  • 3 bowl calender line producing unreinforced rubber and/or coated fabric up to 1200mm width

Building and Fabrication

  • 5mtr build table used for construction of multi-layered products prior to curing

Curing

  • 300t John Shaw press – cured product size 1.3mtr x 3.0mtr and up to 400mm thick
  • 5mtr long belt press line with build table – cured product size 1.5mtr wide and up to 50mm thick, in roll form
  • Berstoff Auma producing cured sheet <1400mm wide and up to 2.5mm thick, in roll form
  • 80” Shaw Rotocure line producing cured sheet <1900mm wide and up to 12.5mm thick, in roll form
  • 3mtr long “C” frame press producing cured products up to 300mm wide and 50mm thick
  • Several other compression moulding presses for smaller articles

Finishing

  • Roll cutting lathe producing tape rolls from sheeting < 1400mm wide
  • Belt Slitter – max width 1900mm
  • Ability to repackage smaller rolls as required
  • Guillotines and clicker press for cutting small articles from cured sheets

Sorbothane Cell

  • Small parts production and fabrication using automatic mix and blend of cast material

Testing and Development

  • Fully equipped test laboratory
  • Ability to develop new items from raw materials

Facilities include a laboratory mixer and mill for small scale compound development
